about
This song will be part of the complete album Dear Apocalypse being released in August of 2013. But you can download it now as a single for the whole record!!!!
Muevete is inspired by Fresno, CA and I get rescued by birds. When I was growing up there were fig orchards all over the city and one in front of my bedroom window which used to cast a scary shadow into my bedroom. I hope you enjoy it.
lyrics
I sit here in the sunshine and the nuclear heat. I have almost disappeared. Sucking the life from the stickiest peach I heard a whisper in my hear. I turned to source of this mysterious voice, heard the fig tree branches sway. The soil beneath me groaned and then sighed and then THE EARTH BELOW GAVE WAY!
Muevete Montanas.
Montanas Muevete.
Montanas Muevete.
I felt the rush of wings in the air as the birds called to take flight
A miraculous hush filled the orchards above as flock gathered up it's might
The starlings lifted me out from the ground, gave a desperate sigh of relief
And I felt my body soak in the dirt and the soil and rooted my belief
Muevete Montanas.
Montanas Muevete.
Montanas Muevete.
I looked up to the sky and called out to the Wonder
"COM'MON I DARE YOU! BREATHE NEW LIFE OUT OF THE ROLLING THUNDER! OUT OF THE ROLLING THUNDER!
Muevete Montanas.
Montanas Muevete.
Montanas Muevete.
